Community guidelines

CrewHouse works because men can be honest here. These guidelines keep it that way.

  1. 1

    Be constructive, not bitter

Venting is welcome; this is a hard time. But don't bash your ex, women in general, or anyone else's choices. We're here to get better, and to help each other do the same.

  2. 2

    Protect your privacy

Use your handle only. Leave out real names, places, case numbers, and anything that could identify your ex or your kids. What you write could come up in a legal case.

  3. 3

    Protect each other's privacy

What's shared in your crew stays in your crew. Don't screenshot, repost, or try to work out who someone really is.

  4. 4

    Show up with respect

No harassment, threats, slurs, or personal attacks. Disagree with the idea, not the man.

  5. 5

    No selling or recruiting

No ads, coaching pitches, MLMs, or sending members to paid services. Sharing a book or resource that helped you is fine.

  6. 6

    Peer support, not professional advice

Members can share what worked for them, but nobody here is your lawyer or therapist. For legal or medical decisions, talk to a professional.

  7. 7

    Take crisis seriously

If you or someone else is in danger, use the Need help now button at the top of every page. If a member seems to be in crisis, reach out and report the message so a moderator can follow up.

If someone breaks these

Report the message or member. Moderators review every report and may remove messages, warn members, or suspend accounts. You can also block anyone at any time.

You don't have to get through this alone

If you're in immediate danger, call 911 now.

These are US services. Outside the US, call your local emergency number.

If someone else seems to be in crisis

  • Take it seriously, and reach out to him directly.
  • Ask plainly if he's thinking about suicide. Asking won't put the idea in his head.
  • Stay with him in the chat and share the numbers above.
  • If he's in immediate danger and you know where he is, call 911.
  • Report the message so a moderator can follow up.
